From this antique farm, restructured and adapted to the needs of guests, we created a bright kitchen, a cozy dining room, a common recreation arcade area and twenty sleeping accommodations with private services in every room.
Each room has been decorated and furnished to make your stay with us comfortable.
The widely extended open fields, peace, natural paths, mountain bike routes and all the activities are in touch with uncontaminated nature in this charming “Matildico” town.
The restaurant offers an excellent variety of specialties of the area: natural and simple ingredients, with prevalence of local meat, cheese and undergrowth products like mushrooms (funghi porcini).
The cuisine is traditionally “reggiana”, tortelloni with herbs, ricotta, pumpkin, soup with cappelletti, homemade pappardelle with mushroom, lasagne, cannelloni and all different types of risotto.
You can also taste the famous “Parmigiano Reggiano” and delicatessen products locally produced, enjoying it all, with superb regional wine from our widely selected wine cellar, as an essential companion at the table.
What to do, The Surroundings:
Exciting hot air balloon flights can be booked to enjoy the landscape offered by Carpineti and surroundings. Carpineti suggests countless cultural trails through tower houses and ancient buildings of historical and architectonical inestimable value.
Amongst these you can find the old “Pieve di San Vitale”, “Palazzo Cortina”, “L’Abbazia Romanica”, and the “Metato di Marola”.
The farm holiday is located at the centre of the fascinated “Matildico” trail that can be reached by horse riding, mountain bike riding or hiking.
We are in the location where an important part of the Matilde legend had taken place (from 1077 to 1095) and where architectonic evidences are the most significant of their story. They are the strongest and most beloved Castles where Matilde gave hospitality to Popes and Emperors . They are the churches, “the hundred churches of the legend” that the countess founded or consecrated: Parishes like San Vitale, Santa Maria di Toano, San Bartolomeo di Paullo and the Monastery di Marola.
For mountain lovers the “must” tour is the Bismantova stone (the giant’s tooth), it’s shape, unique in Italy, is the source of the many narrated legends, site of the ancient Benedettino Monastery, ideal for rock climbers, picture taking and a perfect relaxing area.
